To garden in the Texas Hill Country is to co-exist with the deer. I have a love/hate relationship with the many that inhabit my space. We have a fenced garden and a walled court yard with the rest of our three + acres being pretty much dessert for the deer. I have tried every deer deterrent known to man with very little success. However, it is hard to be mad when you find a newborn fawn resting in your wildflower patch.
